About: Poor Hero just can’t catch a break. Despite trying to keep a low profile, Hero seems to attract trouble – though anything to spice up life is okay with him. Dutifully living up to his repetitive name, Hero tries his best to aid those in need – though he’s typically the victim of happenstance even when he doesn’t get directly involved. An easygoing kind of person whose idea of relaxation time usually means laying around doing nothing, he’s been best friends with Amanda since childhood and often likes to act as her foil – mostly for fun, but on rare occasions, for her own good when she gets too ahead of herself, sharing a sibling-like bond with his long-time friend.

Inspirations: Hero was generally modeled after the sort of generic protagonist character you might see in various stories of all kinds. Average height and build, doesn’t stand out too much; the type that will fight for what’s right and somehow come out unscathed. He was originally designed to be almost a placeholder character. That is, in fact, how he got his name; while working on Terraform I called him “the hero” to be the counterpart to Millenia being “the heroine,” and the moniker just kind of stuck even as the story shifted towards an ensemble cast. His middle name comes from the heroic Arthur of the Ghosts ‘n Goblins series.
